Dear Graduates of 2017
It is a great honor for me to congratulate you on behalf of the board of EvaSUE on this great occasion. It is delightful to see you graduate, finally it is paying of your dedication and hard work. We are especially grateful to the Lord for the favor He extended to you and His help to your great achievements.
As you are preparing to enter the arena of public service, I would like to take this opportunity to bring your attention, that you are highly expected to show high degree of integrity and dedication in your work. Serve your country in lowliness of heart, redeeming the time, i.e. every opportunity on your way, to hence the well-being and high moral value of the society at large. During this time, I would kindly to remind you to put your heart on the way Daniel and his three friends (the bible characters) and follow their examples. They upon completion of their studies, were assigned by the king to different posts and in various capacities. Daniel 6:4 says “… the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent.” They executed their responsibilities diligently with untarnished integrity and all rounded character. They kept their moral value and stood fast in their faith in the midst of adversities and yet, they came out victories. Consequently, the king honored them and above all He acknowledged and exalted their God, the LORD Almighty and decreed the same over the whole empire. (“I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel, for he is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end.” Daniel 6:26). Here I should highlight to you that, we bring glory to God through our deeds which every one could see; one of it is integrity.
Dear graduates, I would like to encourage you to live a life of integrity in all your area of life; as it is a life and worship worthy of our calling, and it is the way how we glorify God.
Finally, as you leave your campus student life and join the new phase, I would like to urge you all, to stay attached with EvaSUE through our Associates’ Ministry. And please, be aware that the students behind are looking for your support and encouragement as you have expected the same from those who graduated before you.
I wish you all the best!
Fekede Tefera
Board Chairman, EvaSUE
