“Let the Scripture Speaks for itself”
Campus Staff workers capacity development is one of the areas EvaSUE has been working for so long. It is believed to be one of the key activities for successful ministry. Training that is based on good gap analysis fills knowledge and practice gaps. As part of Staff development program, EvaSUE prepares annual and bi-annual programs at regional and national level.
In support of the effort, EvaSUE uses training partnerships with organizations that support the causes of EvaSUE and go in full agreement with our vision and mission as one way of addressing training needs. We deeply believe that the work of God’s kingdom is not a solo act. We cannot win the race alone. It is the combining effort of organizations with similar end goals that result in the desired success.
In 2017, Training of National Trainers (TNT) has started in collaboration with one of our training partner-Leadership Resource International (LRI). The training is basically a four-year program; however, it is condensed to a two-year program with an intensive training schedule. The training includes a three full day’s lecture and discussion program to be held every three (3) months at EvaSUE Training Center that will continue for two years. The training is supported by written materials and home take assignments. In this training package, fifteen (15) Campus Staff Workers are enrolled for the first round.
Student Ministry is dynamic by its nature. That is why continual capacity development is indispensable. It demands staffs who are spiritually formed and theologically informed. As part of their role, they need to be ready to teach, give direction and model the way (1Tim.4:11-12). For those decisive roles, equipping staffs with proper tools to understand and communicate the teachings of scripture is very important.
Training of National Trainers (TNT) is a timely answer to capacitate staffs. It focuses on Preaching and Teaching the word of God, with the heart of God which is revealed through the person, the life and ministry of Jesus Christ who is the sole focus and fulfillment of the Scriptures.
The training integrates three major disciplines presented in a more practical and condensed way. Expository preaching, Hermeneutics, and Homiletics principles are major tools used to study scriptures. The distinctiveness of this training lies in using scripture as the main object to be studied throughout the training period. Principles are learned for the sake of studying scriptures, not for their own sake. They are treated as a means to the end which is studying the book-Word of God.
Transformation of lives, multiplication of changed lives and movement are ultimate goals of the training. Training of National Trainers (TNT), training is believed to strengthen campus staff workers capacity in the ministry field.
The second round every- quarter training will continue from March 10-12/2018
